Elementary School? Check!
We’ve reached a huge milestone; my youngest is out of elementary school! I had the pleasure of being an involved parent for my child’s primary years – I was classroom-mom many a times, I volunteered tons at the school and their library, I coached her Girls on the Run team, and I even got to help on the 5th grade Graduation Committee. My Ashna has been a diligent, hard-working student and she makes us proud of her achievements much! She ended 5th grade in style – a lovely graduation ceremony where she wore a lovely blue and white dress (her favorite colors), participated in yearbook signing, attended a sponsored lunch, and then party'd it up Carnival style. The affair included balloons, tents, popcorn, shaved ice, cotton candy, face-painting (which I got to man part of the time!), games, and incredible DJ with the best of music. The DJ cranked up his music and not only had all the kids dancing but all the volunteer parents as well--we shook, moved, line-danced and wobbled! And now on to Middle School where we will probably shake, move, line-dance and wobble in different ways!
