Halloween Concert at Senior Home

The kids performed a Halloween concert piece at a nearby retirement home and I have made a mental note to get them involved in more community service. It was touching to see all the residents come out in their Sunday clothes (on a Tuesday) to listen to the children’s music and to encourage them to stay with their music for the rest of their lives. One man insisted to my son that he continue even through college, it was touching that someone we just met cared to take the time to pass on his wisdom. Ashu dressed as a Zombie Doctor (surely frightening for some in the retirement home?!?). I dinged her for mischievously forgetting to bow. We stayed to serve cookies and refreshments and left after loading everyone with lots of sweets.
