We are proud to be part of the 3rd annual fundraiser for my daughter's dance school. We participated in Nrityangan's Annual Recital and fundraiser, Ishq - The Saga Of Unrequited Love, featuring the critically acclaimed film " Lamhe." The drama features hundred dancers in colorful costumes, performing to a story line about love.
It is loosely based on a Hindi movie called, Lamhe. Viren goes to Rajasthan (where his father was originally from but Viren's parents died when he was young and he was raised by his nanny called dai ja) and falls in love with Pallavi. She is older than him, but that does not bother him. However, he never tells her that he loves her. And she instead ends up marrying Sidhharrth. Pallavi's father's dying wish was that Viren arrange for the wedding of Pallavi and Sidhharth and so he complies. A year later, both Pallavi and Sidhharth die in a car accident leaving only a surviving infant and her name is Pooja. Viren supports Pooja her entire life, he lives in London and Pooja is raised in Rajasthan by his dai ja.
Ashna performed Megha Re Megha. Their outfits are skyblue and cream color. Her song is done in folk dance style and is a classical one about the beautiful atmosphere in the rain and the clouds and the beauty of earthly things.
