This weekend we experienced all new things- we tried out daring and challenging things we are normally too scared to attempt. My brother and my sister-in-law came to visit and because they did, we wanted to show them all that Charlotte has to offer. But we did not want to do just the tradition trips of shopping malls and eating out. We decided to make it an outdoor, thrill-seeking weekend! We went to Carowinds and tried out some thrill rides. We also went to the US National Whitewater Center and for the first time ever, experienced free falls, zip-lining, rock climbing, kayaking and more. In all honesty, each of us was terrified to no end before trying each of these rides, but we encouraged each other on and talked each other into to doing it. Once we finished, we felt like it was worth every minute and the memories will last a lifetime.
