Endangered Species
We enjoyed a work picnic at a farmhouse in SC where the owners had tractor rides, face painting, tattoo artist, snow cone machine, food galore, tractor rides, and the highlight being numerous endangered species. We got to see Shire Horses , Myotonic Fainting Goat , Sebastopol Geese , Indian Runner Duck. The amazing Shire horses were a glory, standing taller than Clydesdales with lustrous skin and stocking-like look on their feet. We're told there are less than 200 of these horses still around in the world and we even had the pleasure of seeing one pregnant. The kids loved seeing the Myotonic goats that faint or freeze when frightened, even a loud clap of the hand will do the trick to these poor goat! Ashok enjoyed being able to drive a tractor, doing several rounds around the fields, it gave him pleasant remembrances of days past.
