Our Recent Graduates

My little girl (I’d rather be calling her my baby) just finished Kindergarten and my little man (can’t I still say little boy?) completed 4th grade. At the start of the year, Ashu was drawing in a cryptic made-up language; by the end, she was writing in short paragraphs. Always very social in pre-school, she demonstrated the same skills in Kindergarten. She made wonderful friends and loved talking to all the volunteer mommies that helped in the classroom. But most of all, she had the perfect teachers, Mrs. Ferson and Mrs. Beam, together they gave her an amazing foundational start to school – with fun activities, their vast experience and their thorough dedication to what they do. We never expected Ashu to meet the demands of a structured school setting and actually like school-work, but coming home from school every day, the first thing she worked on was her “homework.” She loved school and we’re excited about the beautiful beginning of our future “be-all-that-she-can-be!”

Akshay was always dedicated to school and he no doubt did very well again this year. But he did have to work harder than before - his teachers requested more academic rigor from him but he met their expectations and got the grades he strived for. He had a great year, loved all of his teachers: Mrs. Toribio, Mrs. Pfeffer and Mrs. Gonzales. As a perfect balance of teaching, fun, expectation, discipline and challenge, each of his teachers had a different personality but came together as a great team. We’ve loved being a part of this "pod" and appreciated the teachers that brought out the best in him.
