We enjoy vacations with good friends and this was another one. This time we headed to the beautiful island of Aruba and it was such a lovely vacation we will surely go again! The company we used for our local site-seeing tours is DePalm Tours through the concierge at the Divi Village. The tours we did were Baby Beach Safari and Sunset Sail. Baby beach takes you on a tour of the island in off-road, land rovers. The kids loved this and we got to see all the various parts of the island, including historical sights, through the remote villages, Donkey Sanctuary, Ostrich Farm and ending at the beach to do snorkeling. The off-road safaris were a blast and luckily we did not lose anyone through the rugged terrain and the rough driving. Lunch was amazing at a hole-in-wall place where we had the best spicy vegetarian soup and rice. The Sunset Sail was a lovely 2-hour evening sail which allowed you to view the gorgeous island from off-land and it included snacks and an open bar.The resort itself also offered free bicycles, kayak and floats. There is also a small gym overlooking the ocean for workouts. At the Divi, the restaurants we liked were Mulligan's Golf Cafe, which we went to anytime; Ginger and Red Parrot. We went into the city for a carnival type of parade called Bon Bini, shopping and more variety of restaurants. We also ate in the city, had Indian food at a place called At Tandoor, which was good.
We headed to the beach areas Hyatt, where more friends were and Rui, to get tons of options for tubing, parasailing and other fun water sports. Overall, we loved Aruba....and Aruba Ariba!
