First Golf Outing

Gone and did our first ever golf outing, the Wells Fargo Championship. I thought we would go for an hour or two, walk around, get a snack and then head home because we would be tired. I was wrong – it ended up being a gorgeous day, too beautiful to spend indoors. The family loved it and and I must confess, I ended up loving the game. Experiencing our first time, watching all the expert golfers, eating gourmet sandwiches, doing some people watching at the same time was an enjoyable day. The kids picked a couple golfers they wanted to watch and we followed them around the course. When we got hungry, we found ourselves a prime spot at the 18th hole and waited for the golfers to make their way. We were pleased to see Rickie Fowler, in his orange-suited glory take the tournament. His is young and incredibly talented. One complaint – they should make the course smoke-free. There weren’t a lot of smokers, but for those of us with kids and a begrudging to the stuff, were not pleased. With 35,000 people attending the event, my prediction was that it was going to be chaotic. I was wrong! Quails Hollow was so organized and took care of every detail to make the experience a great one!
