First day of school went reasonably smooth! We have a history of panicked first-days: One year, the school bus dropped my five-year old at the wrong stop, another there was potential for food poisoning, and yet another year there was me bawling like a child as I missed my kids. But this year was smooth, aside from Akshay not letting me walk him to the bus stop like all the other middle-school parents did, their day was great. Both came home excited about their new teachers and school subjects and the fresh start as 8th and 4th graders! And the most special moment was the my daughter insisted that she gets tucked in by her big brother instead of us, she wanted him to do it as he is older and she respects him! Oh no, me bawling all over will start again!
