Diwali Dancing and Singing

Diwali celebrations are always so joyous and this year was no exception. With several dinner and fireworks at friends’ homes and the official IAGC Diwali dinner, our family was able to see everyone and enjoy in the festivities. At this program, Akshay danced with two girls to the song “Desi Girl” from the movie Dostana, Ashu danced with her group to a Panjabi song called, “Miti,” and I participated in a poetic Kohli song called “Dol Dol.” This year, it was especially a pleasure to participate as our dance was led by live singers and musicians to play the drums, tablas and harmonium. The night ended with dinner and dancing afterwards.
