My birthday this year....

We went for a celebratory dinner for my birthday last night to PF Chang’s. It’s always a hit with the kids and I liked their new added feature: miniature-desserts. Desserts in shot-glass size cups, including tiramisu, apple pie, smores cake, chocolate overload cake, carrot cake, strawberry cheesecake, and key lime pie; they almost feel guilt-free. At first I thought they were actual shots, but then the waiter told me they were desserts – I tried not to look too imbecilic! I missed not having my friends this year but was grateful for the tons of phone calls and e-mails. And Ashu told me that she will still love me even when I am old and can't remember her name - another reason why I miss friends, only a family member dare be that blunt!
