The Patels’ hit the road for Spring Break (we “miled” in 2,000 in 6 days). Our road trip included visiting family in Pennsylvania, friends in Ohio, and then heading up north to Niagara Falls. Canada was beautiful, except that it was snowing and too cold to last at the Falls for more than 15 minutes. Luckily the hotel we stayed at had a direct view of the Falls, and the kids could watch the special Fall light effects from our room at night. They also enjoyed the in-door pool and Ashok and I basked in the hot spa. Ashok, thanks to his residency training (on-call shifts of 36 hours without sleep), was well prepared to drive hours on end without getting tired. We had a blast and saw 7 states, 2 countries in a week’s period.
