Our neighborhood was filled with excitement as we welcomed a winter storm bringing in a rare sighting in Charleston: snow! Snow is very infrequent in Charleston and we had missed the warm weather until today--the snow made the cold winter worth the shivers! There was about 1 to 5 inches of the white stuff, enough for snowball fights, snowmen, and a picturistic view! Our kids, along with the neighborhood children, have been playing in the snow since 7:00AM (they are on their third hour as I am posting this blog!). They build one of the tallest snowman I have ever seen, drank hot chocolate with marsh mellows, had snow ball fights, and bombarded passing cars with the white flaky stuff. Most did not mind, but the man with the convertible had to drive awfully fast to avoid them!
